The Palace Caves near Ayia Napa and Cape Greco are spectacular natural sea caves carved into limestone cliffs, popular for snorkeling, swimming, cliff diving, and boat tours, accessible mainly from the sea and known for their clear waters and dramatic beauty.
Location and Description
The Palace Caves are part of a series of sea caves and rock formations along the coastline stretching from Ayia Napa to Cape Greco National Forest Park on the southeastern coast of Cyprus. These caves have been naturally hewn by the action of sea waves on the limestone cliffs, creating deep passages and impressive formations that extend up to 240 feet into the rock.
They are often referred to as the “Palaces” due to their striking majestic appearance from the sea.
